Teen Arrested In Alleged Canyon Hills Burglary Spree

The alleged crimes took place in a residential neighborhood next to Canyon Hills Middle School in Lake Elsinore.

An 18-year-old burglary suspect was arrested in Canyon Hills Wednesday morning and is currently behind bars on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen tools.

Logan James Moran was nabbed by police at 7:10 a.m. at Whispering Willow Drive, a neighborhood next to Canyon Lake Middle School, according to jail records. He is being held at Southwest Detention Center on $35,000 bail and is due in court Nov. 8, the jail records show.

A tipster who lives in the neighborhood reported to Patch that Wednesday morning she awoke to an open backdoor and items missing from her home.

Police were called and were reportedly already in the area investigating another burglary call. Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department apprehended a suspect, later identified as Moran.

"He was an 18-year-old kid on a small motorcycle, carrying a backpack," the tipster reported.
