Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore was hit by one or more graffiti vandals sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning, and police and school officials are working to find those responsible for the crime.
"A variety of surfaces throughout the campus were tagged, including glass doors, block retaining walls, concrete entryways and building exteriors," confirmed Lake Elsinore Unified School District spokesman Mark Dennis.
The crime was discovered early this morning by district personnel and cleanup began shortly after 6 a.m., Dennis said.
"Police were notified immediately and are involved in the investigation," he continued.
At press time, Dennis could not confirm the cost damage.
LEUSD Superintendent Doug Kimberly told the district governing board today, “We will work to determine the culprit and prosecute to the extent possible.”
