A woman was killed early Friday when she was hit by a tow truck while she was trying to walk across State Route 74 in Perris, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 12:41 a.m. just west of Seventh Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities withheld the name of the 45-year-old Perris woman, who died at the scene, pending family notification, the Riverside County Coroner's Office reported.
