Woman Stabs Boyfriend: Lake Elsinore Deputies Make Arrest

Police were called to the crime scene around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station have arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her live-in boyfriend Sunday night.

According to a news release issued out of the station, Kathy Monsivaiz, 44, was arrested after investigators determined she had stabbed her 41-year-old boyfriend during a verbal altercation.

The stabbing took place in the 22000 block of Mountain Avenue in Good Hope and police were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

“Deputies arrived on scene and located a 41-year-old male who was suffering from several stab wounds to his torso. Cal-Fire and AMR ambulance personnel were summoned to the scene to render aid. The victim was transported to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley where he was admitted to intensive care in critical condition,” according to the news release.
