The Wildomar Planning Commission and City Council are getting an education on what drives development.

During a special meeting scheduled tonight at 6:30 p.m., the commission and City Council members are invited to a workshop titled “Developing a Healthy Economy: What Drives Development.”

According to a staff report from Wildomar City Manager Frank Oviedo, the workshop “was designed to provide elected and appointed officials with the information they need to understand what steps developers must go through to create an investment."

Tonight’s workshop will look at all aspects of what drives investment, from land acquisition to construction, the staff report states.

The workshop will also reflect back on the city’s 2008 vision at the time of incorporation, which includes a healthy economy.
