The City of Temecula announced Thursday morning via its Facebook page that the expanded Winchester Road off-ramp from southbound Interstate 15 is open.

There are now two lanes exiting the freeway.

The new French Valley Parkway exit, just north of Winchester Road, will be also be opening soon, according to the post. The off-ramp will provide access to Jefferson Avenue near the Murrieta-Temecula city boundaries. --Maggie Avants

Sad someone had to die before the changes, it was foreseeable.

it will still be some time before people figure out that they don't have to make a panic merge onto the South off ramp. Until that happens? it's still dangerous..... Now you can stay in the middle lane and easily turn off right at the bridge...NO MORE LINE

I know I won't be the only one to say this. It's really terrible people had to lose their lives for them to open that up. It's sad. Very sad.

I think Wincongested Rd is worse than the I15, there will never be an answer to that gridlock, rear end collisions are the norm daily in Trafficula.
