EVMWD Names New General Manager

John Vega, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District's new general manager, was previously the director of operations.

Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District announced Thursday that it hired John Vega to be its new general manager.

Vega, who previously worked for the district as the director of operations, has 29 years of experience in the industry.

Vega also spent 10 years as the Cucamonga Valley Water District's director of operations and also served as the general manager for the Victor Valley Water District.

“John’s experience and leadership abilities are just what EVMWD is looking for,” EVMWD Board President Phil Williams said. “John’s past experience with EVMWD and his vast water and wastewater operational knowledge will help ensure the continued success of EVMWD.”

Vega said the District is "positioned, not only to grow in terms of its service area, but that will invest in its staff, so the organization can continue to provide reliable and cost effective water and wastewater service."

“As general manager, I will bring industry knowledge and managerial experience to promote team work, mentoring and support of the Districts goals to achieve the vision of the organization," he said.

EVMWD provides service to over 133,000 water, wastewater and agricultural customers in a 96-square mile service area in Western Riverside County. For more information, visit evmwd.com.

Will he find the 10 million dollars spent on LEAPS?
Chris Hyland February 16, 2013 at 07:35 PM
Forget it Roberto until the present directors who are involved in the LEAPS project are thrown out of office illegalities will continue to prevail to hide what happened to that 10 million dollars. Why do you suppose those who have been on the Board for the past 100 years do everything they can to stay on the Board?????? HMMMMMM Opinion is they get away with anything that is ILLEGAL and nothing will be done to stop such illegal situations until a STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY can take overseeing Water Districts and can scrutinze their improprieties . It will take ratepayers to remove those responsible for the waste of spending our money on illigitimate projects but appears the ratepayers look the other way and take NO action. So it appears people do not seem to care their water bills are higher higher and higher and remember who approves those increases. Question do all those directors obtain water service from EVMWD amd pay water bills to EVMWD?? SURPRISE

Car bombings, voter intimidation, incumbent's running unoposed due to fear of retalitation yet the Federal Givernment does nothing to this special district with latent powers to siphon off stakeholder dollars through boondoggles such as LEAP's and other methods to numerous to mention. 10 million dollars smention of on LEAPS yet not a mention of an investigation by the DA's office or a grand jury investigation. hite collar crime is legal in Rail Road County.
