LAKE ELSINORE AND WILDOMAR SIZZLE

The National Weather Service is warning hikers and campers to take precautions in what it describes as potentially "deadly "conditions.

Hot temperatures are here and the National Weather Service has issued a special advisory warning residents to stay out of the sun.

"High pressure over Utah will bring an inland warming trended with hottest temperatures for inland areas Monday through Wednesday, 5 to 10 degrees above average," the NWS reported in a special weather statement Sunday.

In Lake Elsinore, the mercury is expected to rise to 98 degrees Sunday, gradually getting hotter as the week goes on. By Tuesday, the temperature is forecast to reach 100 degrees with the heat lingering through the weekend.

The weather service advised drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, wearing cool clothing and applying plenty of sunsreen.
