Wildomar Cemetery Clean-Up Day Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 18 to help spruce up Wildomar Cemetery in anticipation of Memorial Day services to be held on the grounds May 27.

Wildomar Cemetery always looks meticulous, but in anticipation of the annual Memorial Day service at the historic grounds, a little spring cleaning is in order -- and your help is needed.

Volunteers are needed May 18 to help clean, beautify and scrub down gravemarkers.

Families, groups, individuals and students needing community service hours are welcome to participate.

After the clean-up event, the Wildomar Historical Society will treat volunteers to ice cream donated by De Jong’s Dairy. Wildomar historian and councilman Bob Cashman will be in attendance and will speak at the event. He has a wealth of knowledge about the cemetery and the famous city founders and all-around characters buried there.

The clean-up event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at the Wildomar Cemetery.
