2014 Brings Wildomar More Lawsuits

City Officials Continue to Circumvent the Law

The holiday season may be over, but the City is still on the receiving end of more paper based “gifts” in the form of new lawsuits from a growing number of truly concerned individuals and groups of people suing the city as “unincorporated associations” to shield their names from any potential retaliation of abusive city officials.

As the new year dawns, it appears there will be more lawsuits challenging the questionable planning decisions hastily rammed through the City’s approval cycle in the latter part of 2013, and still others already on schedule for review and approval on current 2014 planning commission and city council agendas.

These new lawsuits, coupled with continuing litigation of existing ones previously filed over the City’s lack of a legally required Wildomar Specific General Plan, the question of At-Large vs. Districts elections and issues with the approval of the huge Oak Creek Canyon Project are bound to keep city attorneys mighty busy.

Dissatisfaction among Wildomar’s citizens is reflected not only in the number of lawsuits, but in the increasing criticism from activists and bloggers who find fault with city official’s dubious priorities, questionable governance methods and problematic decisions.
